....................My love of nature,
animals - and especially dogs - started in my early childhood.
When I was 6 my dad brought home a puppy, but when
I realised that the dog wasn't for me, but for my grandma,
I was terribly disappointed. Over the years, I collected various
domestic animals but the one I wanted most - a dog - was still
missing.
Finally, at 15, my big day had come! I had saved enough money
to buy my first dog Gina, a German Shepherd bitch. She became
my best friend and she taught me how to care for, play and
work with, a dog. Sadly, Gina has now passed away.
In Spring 2006, I was given a short-haired Hungarian Vizsla
bitch called Lena. As this was my favourite breed, next to
the German Shepherd, I'd always longed for that kind of dog.
At first I kept her as a pet, but her fantastic personality
and physical attributions made me commit to this breed forever.
I started hunting with Lena early on, right in the first season
and she became an excellent hunter. I became very keen on
hunting too and I gained my hunting licence shortly after.
As Lena didn't have a pedigree I couldn't use her for breeding.
However I bought another dog, Alfonz, and started to use him
for breeding as well as entering him into competitions. Alfonz
is in excellent physical condition but his greatest strength
is his inner hunting instinct. I couldn't wish for a better
hunting dog.
In 2008 I bought several young puppies but only one bitch
- Luca -matched up to my high expectations, and so I kept
her. With Luca, I was able to establish my kennel.
I established my kennel in 2010, with the aim that my dogs
become excellent hunters - both physically and mentally strong.
For me the Hungarian Vizsla is a hunting dog first of all,
so I breed the ones who not only have the necessary certificates
but also have proved themselves at hunting. In my opinion,
the true attributes of a dog can only be observed during hunting.
Besides this, my intention is to constantly achieve the high
physical standards required for this breed of dog.
I never keep the dogs in kennels; they live with my family
and are surrounded by our own domestic animals so they can
learn how to socialise in an appropriate way.
I also train my dogs myself, so if you are interested in your
dog being trained for hunting please feel free to contact
me.
